Thanksgiving Point

We enjoyed a wonderful night with my aunt and cousins.  We went up to Thanksgiving Point where we saw some reindeer and enjoyed some cider and cookies.  We then took a wagon ride and saw the lights they have set up there with Christmas music playing.  It was really fun and the kids loved it.  We miss Rita and Ivana living close by, and are always happy to see them and spend time together.

Thanksgiving

Well, as you can imagine this was a little bit harder of a day for my family.  Not only was it Thanksgiving, but it was also my mom's birthday.  We decided to go to the cemetery and wish my mom a Happy Birthday.  We brought her some flowers and balloons.  Each of us wrote a little card that we tied to balloons and then we sent them up to her while singing Happy Birthday.  We miss her so much, but we know she is still here with us and that we will be able to be together again.  We then enjoyed a wonderful meal with family and friends.  I was so happy to have so much family around.  I truly feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends, and even more so to have such an amazing husband who is such a strong support to me.  I can not even begin to express how thankful I am to have Chloe here with us.  I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for letting her stay here on earth with us.  She is just so happy all the time, and keeps me smiling and laughing each and every day.
WE LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!

What was he thinking!!

So my handsome husband came home from work like this.  He walked in with a beanie on so I just saw the ugly cowboy style mustache, which I immediately told him to shave.  After having said that I asked what he did with his head.  Nephi said why do you think I did something to my head too.  I told him I know him to well.  So he took the beanie off to show off his new style.  Is it not the worst?  He kept it this way for a couple days too.  One of his teachers told him she couldn't concentrate on what she was teaching because she would look at him and just start laughing every time.  I do have to say Nephi keeps me laughing and I love his randomness!  I love you Babe!!

Projects

Here are a few projects I've done in the last little bit.
Sorry I thought I rotated this.  I made this blanket for Chloe to take to disneyland along with her costume I mentioned in an earlier post.  Nephi has nick named Chloe Tinker so that is the reason for the Tinkerbell stuff.
I stained this shelf and Nephi added the pole to hang the blanket.  The picture is a 4 generation picture for Chloe.  I have a similar picture when I was her age.  The blanket was made by my wonderful Tia Neith (Chloe's middle name).  She is so talented and I love her so much.
This is a toy chest we got for Chloe and I stained it.  I love it because when she is older I can put a pillow seat on top for seating as well as I can store shoes or something.

FYI

I have more posts if you click on older posts or on the left under November.  I'm playing catch up with my blog and I guess I did to many post for one page.

Trick or Treat

Chloe was such a cute Tinker Bell.  They didn't have any costumes small enough for her so I had to make one, but I think it came out really cute.  We had fun taking her trick or treating.  She of course loved the candy.

Halloween Time

We had a great night of carving pumpkins and making carmel apples.  I wasn't sure how Chloe would like doing this but she loved it and dove right in.

More Disney

We wanted to get a little Mickey Mouse doll for Chloe and she found the one she had to have.  She snuggled it like this the rest of the night.  I went to ask Nephi which one we should get and when I pulled this one from her to show him she started to cry and pushed the other one I had in my hand away and reached for this one again.  She was so cute with the doll and better yet she picked the cheaper one.  The cashier even scanned the doll while she was still holding it.

All the grandkids.

Disneyland

We are back!  We had a good time at Disneyland and Chloe did so great.  It was fun to go on all the rides and see everything.  I was 4 or 5 last time I went so this was like my 1st time all over again.

This was Chloe's first plane ride and she did perfect.  She had an ear infection so I was worried that she would have a hard time on the plane, but she loved it.  Especially the window.
This was one of my favorite rides.

This was during one of the rides.  I thought she was so cute sitting like this watching everything.

Oink Oink

Need I say more?  Chloe was eating when all of a sudden she started doing this.  It totally reminded us of the little boy on a Christmas Story, because she would just laugh and laugh every time she did this.  She keeps us laughing and that is one thing I love about her!

Little Helper

Chloe is so cute and fun.  I love watching her learn and do new things.  Chloe loves to help mommy with chores.

Dig, Dig, Dig

For mother's group we went to a museum to learn about things that have been left underground for years.  It was really fun and they were great with the kids.  After a story and seeing some artifacts the kids were able to do there own digging for treasures.  There were shells, arrowheads, pottery, and beads.  Chloe found a couple arrowheads and had a necklace made with them.  It was something so different and fun.

Frustrated

So I've had this annoying pain in my left arm/shoulder for the past 6 months and I finally went to the doctor.  As of right now they think I have Tendinitis and Muscle Spasms.  I had to take medication (which most people know I hate) and do physical therapy.  They wanted me to wear this sling as much as possible.  Well, lets just say that didn't happen to often.  It's amazing how hard it is to get things done when you can't use one of your arms.  I'm just frustrated because I'm still able to function and do everything as normal, I just have this annoying pain that is always in the background.  Hopefully it gets better.

Cornbelly's

We went up to Thanksgiving Point for Cornbelly's and we had a blast!  And the best part is we got in for $0.93.  We went with our friends the Wrights and enjoyed shooting pumpkins, a hayride, and don't forget a race through the corn maze.  Chloe had so much fun and LOVED all the slides.  There was lots to do and yummy food.  We had a great time!!

Mothers Group

Thanks to my friend again, she puts together fun activities every week for moms to bring their kids and so we can get out of the house.  One week we went to the fire station.  Chloe loved sitting in the fire truck.  She didn't want to get down and kept wanting to get back in.  We also went up the canyon to enjoy the fall and the pretty colors that are starting to show up.

Swim Class

Chloe and I have swim class two times a week and we have so much fun doing it.  Thanks to a good friend Margie who told me about the class.  She also comes with her cute little girl Brynn. Chloe love the water and has done very well in the class.  I'm always worried about having to dunk her under the water, but she's done great.  We only have two more classes so I'm a little sad, but it has been a great experience and something we have been able to do as mom and daughter.

Cast OFF

Chloe got her cast off on September 2nd and it was such a great day for us!!  We were so happy to hear that everything was well and to see her cute little legs again.  The doctors say she is doing very well and she has been on the move even faster now that the cast is gone.  Chloe also got a front loading car seat which she loves.  We had a little cast off party when we got home from the hospital and I made a cupcake cake of her cast but I didn't have time to put details on it, but what the heck it was my first attempt at one.  We feel so blessed to have Chloe in our lives and we are so happy that things are going so great with her.  She is the most mellow little girl I have ever know.  She didn't even seem to know or mind that she had this huge cast on and couldn't do a lot of things.  Especially since she is not talking, I know that cast had to be very uncomfortable or itchy, but she never complained.  She just had her cute smile on her face the whole time.
Wondering where her cast is.
Pink is of course the cast, but the white is her diaper and the brown around represents the mole skin we had to keep around the diaper area.  It's a stretch but you get the picture.

How Things Have Changed

We all seem to go through changes in our life. We have times when we couldn't be higher and floating along and then there are times when we don't think that we can push on. This is one of those times, For those who have not heard, we have lost our mom. Melissa's mom died tragically at Bear Lake last Friday. The accident happen while Melissa was trying to reposition a truck. There was a couple of injuries suffered besides Michele (Mom), Nicole- bruised lung, cuts and bruises, cracked ribs and a really stiff neck, Chantal- has cuts and bruises head to toe along with a sore knee and ankle, Carlos (Dad)- bruises and a sore lower back shooting pain down his leg, and Chloe- Three scull fractures minor enough that no surgery was needed, Broken femur, a black eye and a couple cuts.
These injuries seem to be healing fast for most of the family, but the loss of Michele will be felt for a long time to come. I thought that loosing Michele would soon dissipate, as usual I'm being proved wrong. I have become lost and not sure what I as an in-law am supposed to do. Not only did Chloe get injured, but Melissa lost her mom and best friend. This has caused a dilemma in my heart and mind as to which situation warrants my attention the most. I have decided that I must run faster with the help of everyone around me. We can do it together.
Now, let me say this we have truly been blessed. We have had support come from all around us. At Bear Lake we met some truly amazing people who helped us with everything. They came to us and met our needs just after the accident and continues still. When we got back to camp everything was packed and ready to go. People from all over the campground came to support us and get us on the road. I cannot ever explain how much these people who knew nothing of us, came and took care of our family. We are truly blessed to have met these wonderful people. All I can do is Say THANK YOU, we are fortunate to have met these wonderful people.
As the Funeral came we continued to receive an incredible amount of support from our families and friends, they came from all over the country to make sure we were taken care of and that we knew we were loved. Often time I have taken this for granted and not realized how important it is to have a strong family around me. The gratitude needed to express the support we have received here at home has slipped away from me and all I can say is I LOVE YOU.

My Baby is one!

I can't believe my baby is one!!  We celebrated Chloe's birthday with family and friends and it was a perfect day.  Macey's gives a free cake for 1st birthdays, so we got one for Chloe and let her have at it.  She LOVED it and had no problem diving into it.  She had cake everywhere, but it was so worth it!  I guess everyone wanted to celebrate her birthday because there was a big parade and firework show for her!!  Just teasing, the Orem Summer Fest was going on so we decided to head over to that after her birthday party.  I'll have to post those pictures later when I have them, but for now here are some cake eating pictures.

So it starts...
And keeps going...
Oh yeah it gets worse...
Mmmmm so yummy...
As you can see I LOVE my baby girl!!
